Summary of TKC Member Rules

Members are entitled to open practice at JRP as often as they like for no additional fee, but must yield to rental kart operation as needed. Any member practicing must sign in at the lock box located near the check in building with the Quick Trip sign or risk being barred from the facility. It is acceptablefor a TKC member to let a potential new driver drive the member’s kart during non race day practice at JRP; however it is not acceptable for a TKC member to allow/invite non-TKC members with their own karts to practice on non race day’s without the non members paying JRP for track rental.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: PRACTICE PRIVILEGES ARE RESERVED FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS PARTICIPATING IN THE TKC POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE CURRENT SEASON, AND MAY BE REVOKED BY JRP IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT A MEMBER IS NOT A COMPETITOR. NON-TKC MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO RENT THE TRACK FROM JRP DIRECTLY.

Voting is limited to members only. Only one vote per membership is allowed at annual meetings.

Annual membership dues are $200.00 for a family membership. Includes drivers and immediate family members under 18 years of age. Memberships expire Dec. 31 each year.

Application for membership forms are available at the track during race events, or can be downloaded here. Submitted forms must be printed, filled out and signed, and accompanied by a dues payment in full.

Club Rules for Race Events

Sign in: All drivers and pit entrants must sign a release agreeing to hold harmless TKC, its members, Board of Directors, Officers, Track owner and Race Promoter for any damages that may occur to them or their property while competing in any event or while on the property under the control of TKC. All minor participants must have a minors release form signed by their parent or legal guardian. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED IN PIT AREA WITHOUT A PIT PASS. NO PRACTICE OR RUNNING OF KARTS ON TRACK AFTER COMPLETION OF OFFICIAL RACES ON RACE DAY WITHOUT A PIT PASS.

DRIVERS AND CREW WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO POLICE THEIR OWN PIT AREA. IF PEOPLE WITHOUT PROPER PIT PASSES ARE ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN THEIR PIT AREA, DRIVER(s) MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FOR THE RACE EVENT.

The driver, not the kart is the official entry. No driver substitutes are allowed. Drivers may change tires, engines, etc. so long as all changes remain within the specification for their class. All changes are subject to tech inspection.

Racing kart rules and specifications and race procedures will be per 2024 KART rules unless TKC rules are in conflict, then TKC rules will prevail.

Trophies or prizes will be awarded according to number of entries in each class. Kid kart participants will all receive trophies. All other classes will receive 1st through

3rd place trophies if class has 5 or more entries. If class has 4 or less entries, 1st place only will receive trophy. Race Promoter and TKC may develop a cash prize award program in lieu of trophies.

To participate in the annual point awards, one must be a member in good standing with the club. Drivers must participate in at least 50% of the races or more to receive annual points. Club points will be awarded at special regional races as well as points for the regional race. Points earned in two races will be dropped for determining the year end point standings. Bonus points may be awarded to all drivers at selected races. TKC or track Promoter may from time to time run special non point events.

No entry fee is returned after driver makes one lap of practice or race. (NO RETURN OF PIT PASS FEES AT ANY TIME). If race is canceled before any races are run, any entries or pit passes sold will be honored at the next scheduled club race. You must present your pass at the next event for it to be honored. If a race is terminated before the completion of all races, because of weather or other conditions, finishing position for the day will be determined by time trials or races completed in each class. If races are run in rain or wet conditions, the Race Director will determine when conditions are suitable for racing or red flag the race until conditions improve. Race Director will determine when and if conditions have improved enough to resume racing or cancel the remainder of the races as outlined above.

MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO ASSIST IN THE CLUB RACE DAY OPERATIONS, SUCH AS RACE DIRECTOR, PIT STEWART, CORNER WORKER, ETC.
